The secret to growing food in water using fish

Home Aquaponics

“Like the Home Garden, the Family Plus is a raft aquaponic system. It has four fish tanks. But, it is twice as big as the Home Garden! It can annually produce 460 lbs. of fish and 2,700 – 4,860 heads of lettuce (or other vegetables).” ~https://aquaponics.com/aquaponic-systems/home-and-school-systems/

Location is a must when you are planning home aquaponics. Don’t forget to measure your space too.

I want to share to you this video on how to set up your own home aquaponics and the things that you have to consider.

The 3 things over conventional farming than aquaponics provides:
1.Sustainability – aquaponics must cherish the eco system.
2.Yield – double the productivity.
3.Water Conservation – it uses less amount of water.

GENERIC AMAZON:

How To Manage Nutrients In Aquaponics System?

Are you ready to take down notes? Here’s another lesson: “Plant Nutrients in Aquaponics”, I’ll assure you’ll never regret learning new things.

Few people understands what plant nutrients are? Why plants need certain nutrients?

Beginners doesn’t know how to recognize the nutrients aren’t there or when they are deficient or doesn’t know how to get them into their soil and into their aquaponics system to supplement them to their plants.

Here’s how to plant nutrients by watching this video.

Freshwater to our Aquaponics System

Aquaponics, refers to any system that combines conventional aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as snails, fish, crayfish or prawns in tanks) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water) in a symbiotic environment.

How do we add fresh water prawns to Aquaponics System? This is a very interesting video because we can also add up tilapia of course with a partition between the two.

You Will Never Believe What This Guy Doing In His Backyard!

You will never believe what this guy is growing in his backyard.

Having a farm in your backyard or even a limited space is possible and is inexpensive. How is it possible? You should watch this video courtesy of Mr. Rik Kretzinger.

Credits to Mr. Rik Kretzinger.

Here’s the thing, Mr. Kretzinger used Arduino-based backyard aquaponics. Aquaponics (fishfarming + hydroponics), sensors and the open-source microcontroller Arduino to create an automated garden that could compete with commercial farms.
